Who We Are

Generis is a team of experienced guides who walk with churches and ministries of all shapes, sizes and personalities to develop generosity – a generosity that permeates the culture. Since 1989, we have acted as guides for churches and Kingdom focused non-profits in matters of stewardship, generosity and fundraising.

The essence of our mission, Accelerating generosity toward God-inspired vision, is captured through scripture:

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

and expressed in our core values:

A second conversion to passionate generosity…..

The true meaning of stewardship begins with a ‘second conversion’ to passionate generosity that changes thinking and compels people to action. In other words, a lifestyle of generosity.

A third strand of collaborative strength……

The power of we. “I may not have the answer but we do.” Think about having the Verizon team behind you. Or Apple’s Genius Bar. Everyone of our guides knows there’s a team of knowledge to draw from. This collaborative culture is one of the unique features of Generis and allows each one of our guides to be very present for our clients.

A fourth perspective from an empowering presence……

It’s not about the knowledge. These days you can get that from a number of resources. It’s about the perspective and insight gained by navigating the rapids and turns of many projects and situations. A pastor always has three perspectives bouncing around in his head: 1) his own, 2) key leaders, and 3) the congregation. We call ours the fourth perspective. It brings expertise, objectivity and accountability.

Church First because of personal calling…..

Our people have a love for and a deep commitment to the local church starting with their own.   We hire people because of the way they think, act and partner with churches from a personal calling.
