Sherri Adams is passionate about the local church. She served twenty years on the executive staff at Christ Church, a large multisite church in the western suburbs of Chicago. While there she led the largest generosity initiative in the church's 50-year history. Sherri has seen firsthand how God transforms lives and uses the body of believers to fund a God-sized vision.
Sherri began her career as a tax consultant for Price Waterhouse. A few years later she responded to a call to join the staff at her church and launched a workplace ministry before being tapped by the church's Board of Trustees to build and lead the Human Resources department. Sherri then stepped into the newly created role of Executive Director of Stewardship and Generosity when the church was looking to find a leader to build a culture of generosity as well as lead a $49 million-dollar two-year generosity initiative.
Sherri holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University's Kelly School of Business, her Certified Public Accountant license, and an Executive Certification in Religious Fund Raising (ECRF). Her strong financial background coupled with her two decades of executive leadership on a church staff have positioned her well to lead churches with unique nuances and astute leadership.
Sherri lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with her husband, John, and they have three adult children. She loves to travel and explore new places and get a good workout in several times a week. You will find her to have an engaging and warm personality and a commitment to excellence in all that she does.
