As a Generosity Strategist at Generis, Chris Peterson brings 28 years of parish ministry to churches and Catholic institutions seeking a deeper culture of stewardship. He served 18 years under a pastor who lived stewardship, generosity, and gratitude as a way of life, not a program, and that formation shapes how he accompanies every client.
As Director of Operations for Saint Michael Parish & School and Saint Edward Parish in Washington, Chris led finances, stewardship, facilities, HR, and strategic planning. Under his leadership, annual giving grew by more than $800,000 over ten years, school grant funding nearly tripled to $1 million a year, and he helped lead a $4.2 million capital campaign. His ministry also took him to seminary and parish work in Oregon and to six years of youth ministry in Orange County, California.
Chris holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Mount Angel Seminary. He is certified in Lencioni's Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team through Wiley and in The Working Genius, and holds a certificate of mastery from FranklinCovey. He co-leads a Catholic youth conference that draws about 1,000 people each year.
Chris and his wife, Erika, live in Olympia, Washington, with their four children: Samantha, Josiah, Reagan, and Mercy. He enjoys a good book and cooking for his family.
