DEREK HAZELET

Derek has over 25 years of experience leading in ministry and business environments. Most recently, he served in senior leadership at a premier fundraising agency, with his primary focus on the development and implementation of solutions for churches and their ministry-funding efforts. He helped pioneer the application of strategic services, best-in-class analytics and insights, and state-of-the-art technologies into traditional campaign strategies.

In addition to Derek’s direct coaching relationships with church leaders, he also served in an executive leadership capacity at one of the fastest growing churches in the country, and held numerous leadership positions at a Fortune 500 retail company. Derek’s unique combination of business and local church experience fuels his passion to see churches and organizations realize their full potential through the shepherding of their people, and stewarding of their resources.

Derek has also traveled extensively around the world in partnership with the local church and mission agencies, as a hands-on advocate for disciple-making movements, community-focused ministries, church-planting, and orphaned and abandoned children.

Derek and his wife Ronda, their three adult daughters, and teenage son have lived in the Nashville area for nearly 20 years. They are all active members of a church plant in the heart of the city of Nashville. He received his M.A. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY and is an ordained minister.
